Aprons

I made Riley a hot pink and purple satin super hero cape for Christmas, and she got a kitchen as well, so she will bring me her super hero cape and ask me to tie it on the front so that she can be a "chef." So I decided it was time to make an apron for her and Payton. Anything that goes into the dress-up box gets a lot of love at our house! I think Tutus are next on the list.

Jody-

Those are adorable aprons! Where did you find the cute coordinating colors? I am making an apron right now in my sewing class, it is really fun. I bet it is so fun for you to make cute things for your girls. I have a friend who makes tutus and sells them, she also makes all sorts of princess dresses for her little girls to play in. They are SO cute! I really want to do that but I need to sharpen my sewing skills first. Haha. Thanks for the recipe, I am going to try it out this week. Here is one you might like, we love it! It's at this website...

Jody, about the tutu's. Is all I did was got some elastic and measured around Jaelyn's waist and sewed it to stretch around her waist. Then I cut strips of the material (whatever that stuff is). I folded the material in half width wise and cut about 3 inch strips. Then just tie them in a knot around the elastic. I can't really remember how long they were but I tied it in a knot in the middle so you have two stands hanging down from one piece. You may need to cut that long strip in half, not sure. It's super easy. Let me know if you have any other questions.

Cute aprons! I admire people who sew...I just don't get along with my sewing machine.

Glad you found my blog! I will add your to my blogroll! About homeschooling, it is definetly a lifestule choice. There is good and bad in every choice. I personally love how I get to really know my kids on so many levels, I learn with them everyday, I know what they are learning, where they are, and we can take off to the city anytime I feel like it! No one schedules my time but me! It does take commitment and you have to develop patience. My kids are bright kids so it makes teaching them fun...

I love your blog, I will visit often!
