Spinning

Silly video of Riley.

Payton's Spot

The last week or so, We have been leaving the front door open to let in some much needed sunlight. Payton loves standing up to the screen door and looking outside. This can keep her entertained for quite some time. It is her new "spot". If you don't know where she is...this is a good place to start looking.

Fashionista?

Riley Came out in this ensable yesterday and I just had to laugh. I didn't take a picture, but when she put this outfit on again this morning, I couldn't resist sharing it. When it comes to style, I would definately say that Riley is more of a trend-setter than a trend follower. The slip, snow boots and sunglasses are definately a fashion statment!

Standing up

Payton figured out how to pull up to things all of the sudden. She wanted to see what her big sister was doing in that drawer, so she pulled her nosy little self right up to check it out. This has opened a whole new world of play oportunities for her...and baby-proofing opportunities for me!

Kneeling

Payton still won't really sit on her booty. Although she kneels down all the time. Not sure why. I guess that little toosh is just too round to balance on.

Conference Weekend

We went to Heath and Stephs for confrence weekend. Here are a couple pictures we took while we were there.
Riley was watching a disney movie and she was so tired that she fell asleep. She looks so cute and peaceful. Steph had her set up nice and cosy. I guess she just couldn't help but fall asleep.
Payton made buddies with Uncle Heath. Prety cute.

Tent

I think that the best thig about having a sleep-over is that you get to break some of the rules. Riley and Ava got to sleep in a, "tent" for their sleep-over. Sometimes the smallest things make the biggest difference. It can turn an ordinary sleep-over into a camping adventure. So fun!

Finger Painting

We had Ava for a sleep-over last Saturday. I had seen an idea for edible finger painting a few days prior, and knew that Riley would love it. It is just pudding (I used cheesecake flavor pudding because it is white and easy to color...yummy too). I have decided it is the cleanest way to finger paint. All the messy evidence gets...well...eaten! Way fun. We will do this again soon.

As you can see, they had a great time. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who has kids.

Grass

We brought Payton outside while Riley was flying her new kite, and we discovered that she hates grass. She will only put one hand down at a time. She was pretty dramatic about it...

...Then we gave her a ball. She was REALLY happy when she didn't have to put her hands on the grass anymore!

Kite

Riley got this kite for Easter, and she had been DYING to fly it. So we finally had another warm day, so we took her out to fly it. Now it is pretty much all she wants to. do. She asks to fly it every day. Even when it is snowing outside. We may have a die-hard kite flyer on our hands.

Zoo

Riley had her first official trip to the Zoo last week. She LOVED it! As soon as we were driving away, she asked if we could go back again!

Riley was really excited to see the, "TUURRRRTLLLES"!

Before we got to the Zoo, I asked Riley what animals she wanted to see. The giraffes were high on the list(she was quite specific about which animals she wanted to see). She really loved the giraffes. There was one that got really close, and I think that it was bigger than her little mind had imagined. At the end of the day, they were decidedly her favorite animal of the day!

Riley was really excited about riding in Hannah's new waggon. I think she had been looking forward to it ever since She saw it when Hannah got it for her birthday. This alone was an adventure for Her.

It came as no surprise to me that Riley loved riding on the train. But we couldn't get her to look at the camera for a picture...also no surprise there!
