Riley's Birthday Bash

We did a "craft carnival" birthday for Riley this year. It was so much fun. I asked her if she wanted to know what we were doing for her birthday, or if she wanted it to be a surprise. She wanted it to be a surprise. She said, "birthdays are all about surprises, Mom!" They got to paint bird houses, decorate t-shirts, make jewelry, decorate cupcakes, and we also did face painting. Every moment was full, and the kids had a blast! Best of all, Riley had a blast!

They party was a girl party, but we did have one little guy attend. It made us crack up that he and Kam very quickly ended up in the sandbox. Boys will be boys!

Backyard T-Ball

Jace and I got Riley her own bat and tee, since she just started T-ball (pics to come...CUTEST thing EVER!). So we went outside to try it out. They did really well hitting the ball. Kam was the funniest! He was so excited to try and hit the ball. I must say, he was almost as good as the girls (The bat is a bit heavy for someone only a year and a half old). Even when the girls were done playing, Kam stayed to play for a while. He would hit the ball, then pick it right back up and put it on the tee by himself. We are talking hours of entertainment for this little guy! Riley loved it too, She is excited to practice with her Daddy!

Just a side note: Kam DOES in fact own pants! Just in case you were wondering:)

6 Years Old!

Riley turned 6 on June 7th. She is ALWAYS excited for her birthday, and wants to make sure everyone knows it is her big day. On her actual birthday (it was a tuesday), we just had cake and icecream, and we let her open the present that we got for her, as well as the one that Grandma Kaye got for her. It was low-key, but she was still excited about the whole thing. Yes, I did buy the cake. Life is busy, and energy is low at times, so I took the easy way out this time. Riley didn't seem to mind.

Baby A

At my doctors appointment, a week and a half ago, we had an ultrasound (as usual), but this time while we were waiting for the doc, The ultrasound tech did a 4D ultrasound. Baby B was shy, and wouldn't let us see her sweet face, but we got this one of Baby A (Of course, her nose isn't that big). I remember having 4D ultrasounds with Riley and being worried that she would have a big nose. Of course, that was not the case, and she was absoulutely georgous! It sure makes us super excited to see the real thing! I mean, seriously, look at those sweet little lips!! Oh man, modern technology is AMAZING!

Sandbox

About a week ago, Jace and I built a sandbox for the kids. Here is a picture of Payton and Kambell enjoying the new addition. The kids LOVE it! They pretty much live in the sandbox. Kam especially loves it. Boys just need to dig! I will have more pics to post, as well as some of our other project (bricking under the back porch) as soon as we finish it. It is taking a lot longer than we had hoped. For now, this is all I have uploaded to the computer. I just figured that you are probably tired of seeing the same post for weeks. More to come soon.
