Yay for laundry! Oh, who am I kidding?

Okay, it is no secret that I have a bit of a hate-hate relationship with my laundry. BUT...jace did a mini-makeover in my laundry room, and now it is SO MUCH more bearable! I don't have any before pictures (I am horrible at that, apparently), but the washer dryer used to be side by side, with one small cabinet above them. I must make a few confessions. First, that before Jace built me this new cabinet, laundry day was ugly, really ugly! My laundry room shares a zipcode with our downstairs bathroom. On laundry day (which insidentally, is almost everyday at our house), there were laundry piles on the entire floor. You could not even get to the toilet without feeling like you had hiked Mt. Everest. Second, if anyone ever came over on "laundry day," all of those piles got shoved into the shower. Curtain CLOSED! Classy, I know! Third, I wanted to wait to post pictures of this until the baskets were all empty, but let's face it, that could take years! I guess you will just have to imagine that they are all empty, and that I don't actually have five loads of laundry. We won't talk about the four loads that are waiting in the guest room/office, waiting to be folded. Fourth, I have to admit that it bugs me so much that I have one basket that doesn't match the rest. They only had 5 of the baskets when I purchased them (my other baskets didn't match each other, and I could not bear to have mismatched baskets in various shapes and sizes on display). After looking at these pictures, I fear that I MUST run to target as soon as possible, and fix this monstrosity! Wow, talk about airing out my dirty laundry. Pun intinded. The truth is that I still hate doing laundry, but it doesn't seem as daunting when it looks this pretty. It makes me happy. So very happy!!!

I found this picture that was taken of the laundry room before we moved in.

Black and white wall--Payton

Yep, it's that time again! I am updating my black and white wall in my living room. It was Payton's turn first. I think the last one will go up on the wall. I only took about 15 shots of her to begin with, so I may take a few more when I take some of Riley. here are my faves so far:

The Great Land, by Payton Martin

Once Upon a time, there was a great land. A wicked witch came and turned it into a bad land. There was a good fairy but she lived far,far away in China. It was all the way in outer space. She could flap her wings if she wanted to get there, but her wings ran out of gas, and she couldn't fly. There was a wing gas station. She got a hundred of it, so she could fly all the way to the jungle, because she had enough gas! The great land was a jungle. She looked all around, and she saw bad things, like crocodiles and snakes. She went past them 'cause she is a water fairy. They were not able to swim. Not even the crocodiles. So the crocodiles went the wrong way. The snake went the wrong way too, because it had to stay on land. There was a dragon! It wanted to fire the fairy, but it couldn't reach. There was a nice frog. It was a girl frog, because it had a hair bow. The nice frog helped her get away. Then, they got to the top of the mountain. The mountain sinked all the way down, and smashed the wicked witch and her wand. So her spell couldn't work anymore. All the animals and the princess came out of her spell. The wicked witch came alive again, but she got smashed again. Then they threw he into the trash can, and into the sink. The princess and the animals lived happily ever after.

 THE END

Everyone should have a four year old in their life!
