Car Wash

Jace has been keeping the girls busy so that I can get some rest (I know, he is awesome). We have had super warm weather the last few days, so they decided that it was a good time to wash the car. I managed to snag a few pictures.

We welcomed a baby boy to the family tonight at 6:02pm. 6lbs 12oz and 19 and 3/4 inches long. here are a couple pictures. more to come later.

Nursing Wraps

I have seen these nursing wraps all over, and I decided that I wanted one. They typically cost $30-$45. I figured that I could make one for about $6-$7, so I decided to give it a try. As it turns out, they are super easy. They aren't all for me. I am giving them as gifts as well. As soon as I find out what I am having, I think I will make a couple more.

Halloween

We took a few pictures of the girls in their costumes before we went Trick-or-Treating last night. Payton was just not having it. She wanted nothing to do with pictures. We did manage to get a couple. They have been excited about wearing their costumes foe weeks. Riley made sure that I didn't forget that Ariel has red lipstick. Of course Payton had to have some as well, so she got Pink lips just like Cinderella. We have the most beautiful princesses in the whole world!

Edible Mustache

Our Halloween cookie decorating eventually evolved into edible face painting (inspired by Paytons face). Jace gave all the kids an edible mustache. Jolie made sure that Uncle Jace didn't miss out on the fun, so she gave him one as well. It was quite comical.

Halloween Cookies

Yesterday we decorated Halloween cookies with the Crowthers. It was, a lot of fun, it was messy, and most importantly, it was yummy! This is a tradition that we always look forward to. Riley loves anything that has to do with decorating something, and Payton loves anything that involves sugar! Good times, good memories. We took a ton of pictures, so I just posted a few cute ones of our girls.

Random

These are just a couple random pictures I found of Riley on my little point and shoot camera as I was doing some uplaoding. One is just a cute picture of her at the cabin. The other has a funny story. My parents were here to visit a few weeks ago, and we were at Old Navy. My mom turned around and this is what she saw. At first, we couldn't even see her, she just looked like a manequin. There were people walking by that would jump a little when she moved, because they also thought she was just one of the manequins. She must have stood there for at least five minutes, hanging out with her new friend. It was just one of those random silly mioments with Riley, so I thought I would share.

Castle

Last night we got a new stove...again. This time it actually works! Yay for me!!
Of course you can't bring a big box into our house without turning it in to a boat, spaceship, or in this case a castle(complete with a doggy door. Funny, because we don't even have a dog). This particular castle doesn't fit through the girls bedroom door, so we will get to enjoy a castle in the living room for the next few days. It is hours of entertainment for the girls, and they LOVE it, so it is totally worth it.

I Got A New Stove...Sort Of.

Refer to the Popcorn Balls post to see my old ugly, broken stove. So we went and got a new one last night. It is a lovely flat-top white stove that actually matches our "everything is white and makes me crazy because it feels like a hospital" kitchen...and the stove part doesn't work! This is the part where I want to scream. But at least it looks better than the black and bisque ancient one we had before. However, astetics only get you so far. I still can't bake cookies. I think we are going to take it back and get the other one we really wanted (that was $100.00 more expensive). That is if our landlord approves. It is a little above the price range, so hopefully they will say it is okay! I NEED A STOVE!!!!

Popcorn Balls!

On Sunday I decided to make popcorn balls. I haven't made old fashioned popcorn in years. So, using the only amount of brain that I have leftover from baking a baby, I forgot to put the lid on when I made the first batch. You know how fast popcorn can burn, so I couldn't even stop and get the lid. Jace was no help either. Instead of a lid, he grabbed thae camera (classic) and just took pictures and laughed. Riley was trying to "help" by eating the popcorn casualties. It was pretty funny, and my kitchen was COVERED in popcorn. Let's just say tat it worked out much better when I used a lid! I was using a new recipe, and the end result was delish! Riley helped me make the balls, adn she wanted to make sure that Payton got one (she was taking a nap during the excitement), so she made one that was "just her size." She is always making sure that Payton is taken care of, it is so sweet! Not to self...don't forget the lid!!
