Cabin and a Photoshoot.

This weekend we went to La Jara to work on the cabin and to take some engagement photos for one of Jace's cousin and her hubby to be. It was a productive weekend. I was excited to get my hands on some power tools. I spent some quality time with the saw cutting most of the wood that day (you are allowed to think I am cool now. Haha.)We made good progress, and are one step closer to having it completely closed up before winter. Now we pretty much just have windows and doors left on the outside, and a bit of tin on the roof. As for the photoshoot, it went well, and we had fun shooting these two love birds.

My first Wedding Cake!

This was my first official wedding cake, and I am so glad it was for Michelle! It certainly had some imperfections, but overall, I was pleased. I also want to say thanks to Grandma Nancy and Papa Rod for taking the girls to the zoo that day. It was much easier, and less stressful to be able to do the cake without any 2 and 4 year old "helpful" hands!

busy busy

I haven't posted in a while because we have been SUPER busy. We have had a busy wedding season this year, which means hours and hours of editing photos (I will post a few pics from our recent weddings soon). Our last wedding was our favorite, because it was Michelle and Tone's wedding (Michelle Bird for those of you from Duchesne). The birds came and stayed with us for a couple days before the wedding. It was a blast having them here. I unfortunately didn't take any pictures, except these ones...that is unless you are counting the thousands we took at the wedding:)

Payton decided that her skin was feeling a little bit dry...So she helped herself to some cocoa butter cream. I am talking the super thick pure cocoa butter cream that I use on my belly while I am pregnant. This stuff is seriously thick and goopy. I don't know if it works for stretch marks or not, but so far I have two and a half kids and no stretch marks (I am not sure if this has anything to do with the cocoa butter goop, but I use in just in case). When I saw Payton, I just laughed, took a few pictures, and put her directly in the bath. I will have you know that I had to wash her hair SEVEN times before I could get it out of her hair!! Oh the joys of having a curious two year old!

Here two videos of Payton singing. This is an everyday occurance at our house. a few minutes before this we got to enjoy a "butterfly show" (put on by Riley), but we didn't get the camera out in time to capture it. It is too bad, because it was HILARIOUS! By the way, you might want to scroll down to the very bottom of the page and turn off the music so you can get the full effect. Manassa Pioneer Days

Okay, so I FINALLY uploaded pictures from my little camera. There weren't a ton, but here are a few from the Manassa Pioneer Days Celebration over the 24th of July. Riley got to ride on Grandma Kaye's float, and she was so excited because it was her first float ride! She couldn't wait to be a dragon fly, and talked about it for WEEKS before. The other pics are just random from the parade and carnival. I don't have a ton of pictures, because I had forgotten to charge my camera battery, and it died on me. Sad, but true.

Okay, so I have been really lame, or lazy...either way you look at it. I haven't posted anything in quite a while.
